Every summer I find trends that I can’t get enough of. Whether they’re super trendy, pretty basic, or a classic, I fall in love and can’t get enough of them. As sad as I am that summer is coming to an end, I still wanted to share with you guys everything I’ve been loving this summer!
Talk about a throwback for our moms but I was loving this trend that made its way back. Mom shorts are essentially those shorts that your mom wore when she went to the beach with her gal pals or had a picnic in the park. They are the high-waisted, long, denim cutoffs that don’t necessarily seem like the most flattering but are clearly timeless and chic. I have been wearing my mom shorts all summer with my sneakers, slides, and heels. They are easy to dress up or down, and with the extra coverage they are a modest yet stylish short to have in your closet. The shorts pictured above are from ASOS.
Gold is always in for the summer. Whether it’s simple or chunky jewelry, when it’s against your summer sun-kissed skin it’s really just a vibe. This summer I have been all about the chunky, in your face jewelry. Gold chain necklaces are everything!!! And when you stack them with some simple necklaces it just completes the look. I have been in love with my chunky gold chain necklace from ASOS. It’s an affordable piece that is perfect for this trend and something I can’t get enough of. This necklace goes with any look and I love the way it can enhance any outfit.
I’m sure this didn’t seem like much of a surprise but sneakers are my everything. They’ve become much more versatile within the fashion world and are clearly accepted for more than just an athletic shoe. Sneakers have always been my favorite, and now with the recent obsession with Air Jordan 1’s and just in general, anything Nike, I have been in heaven. I find it fun being able to dress them up and pair them with more sophisticated looks rather than a t-shirt and leggings. Sneakers paired with a dress, trouser, or a stylish outfit out on town make a statement. Not to mention, so much more comfortable than heels. The sneakers pictured above are the Nike Wmns Blazer Mid ’77 ‘Light Bone Orange’.
See ya later!
